Connecting to eduroam (University Wi-Fi)

When you arrive at the University you will find that there is Wi-Fi available in most of the campus (You can’t do this until you are on campus). To access this Wi-Fi you will need to configure your device to access eduroam.

We have created some videos to help you to configure your device (and there are instructions for Windows and other devices on UniDesk.) If you still can’t get connected you can book an appointment with a Wi-Fi Wizard (appointments not currently available for booking – watch this space).

Please note the picture of the wizards above was taken last September, this semester our staff will be maintaining social distancing and wearing PPE. We have completed a full risk assessment and may need to make changes to the service following government guidelines at short notice.

  1. Hello I find the guide useful and informative. However, on my phone (Google Pixel 6) the CA Certificate does not display the ‘Don’t Validate’ option. I am forced to select either:
    1. Use system certificates
    2. Trust on first use
    3. Install certificates

    Which one do I select?

    1. Hi Euan, I will send you and email to your University email address with the connection instructions.

      Trudie
