We have been made aware that there is unpleasant phishing email doing the rounds at the moment. We have included a small part of this email to let you see what is currently circulating.
Some tips to help you recognise these fraudulent emails:
- When you read the text from these types of email they contain misspelt words and poor grammar.
- The email may not use your proper name, but uses a non-specific greeting such as “Dear customer.
- A sense of urgency; for example the threat that unless you act immediately your account may be closed. (In this email they are asking for an amount of money within a 24 hour period of the email being received.)
