Effective from 1st October 1 2015, Scopus* will no longer support Internet Explorer 8 (IE8). This is to allow Scopus to focus support on newer, officially-supported IE browser versions.
If you are still using Internet Explorer 8 on your office PC you can upgrade to Internet Explorer 11 by installing it from Run Advertised Programs.
- On your computer click on the Start button in the bottom left hand corner
- Select Control Panel
- Choose Run Advertised Programmes
- Select Microsoft Internet Explorer 11a – install
- Click Run
Once you have upgraded to Internet Explorer 11, you may want to consider upgrading your office PC to Office 2013 – see: https://www.stir.ac.uk/is/staff/it/software/microsoftoffice/ and note the FAQs on that page.
