Stirling campus library now open to midnight every day / library zoning

In response to feedback from staff and students in the IS Satisfaction Survey, Library opening hours on Stirling campus have now been extended to midnight seven days a week. These hours will be further extended to 2am during the exam periods.

The Information Centre will close at 8pm with the building staffed by security thereafter. Self service facilities for book issue and return will be available as will the printing and copying facilities.

Also in response to feedback from library users, the Library has a new zoning scheme in place. We have tried to provide different types of study environment for students. We ask that you respect the rights of others to study in the zone of their choice by sticking to the rules for each zone (below). If you are studying in a particular zone and are being disrupted by other users, please contact the Information Centre and we will try our best to get a member of staff upstairs to patrol the area you are in. You can email us on infocentre@stir.ac.uk and/or library@stir.ac.uk

You should see a greater staff presence on the upper floors of the library as we now have roving staff who can be asked for help in using the library and its facilities. They will be wearing a purple lanyard with ‘Staff, here to help’ written on it. Please feel free to approach them for help.
