Love letters to your library

In typical romance novelist style we are asking for feedback from our users…

Some places quietly shape our lives.

They don’t shout about it. They don’t demand much from us. They simply wait, doors open, shelves lined, lights on. And somehow, over time, they become the backdrop to first discoveries, small escapes, big dreams, rainy afternoons, exam-season panic, and moments of unexpected calm.

That’s what a library is to us.

But today, we’d like to turn the page and hear your story.

We’re inviting you to write a love letter to the library.

Not the grand, sweeping kind (though we’ll happily take those), but the honest ones. The kind that begin with “Dear Library, I love you because…” or even “Dear Library, I could probably live without…”

Maybe you love the smell of books and quiet determination.
Maybe it’s the staff who remember your name.
Maybe it’s the fact that you can come in with a head full of noise and leave feeling slightly more human.

Or perhaps there’s something you’d happily send to the editing desk.
The printer that never quite behaves.
The chair that squeaks at precisely the wrong moment.
The rule you understand in theory but secretly wish would disappear.

We want to hear it all.

Because libraries, like the people who use them, are living things. They grow better when they’re listened to. And your words help us understand what matters most, what makes you stay a little longer, and what we might gently let go of.

So write to us.

Tell us what you love.
Tell us what you’d change.
Tell us about the book that found you at exactly the right time.
Tell us about the corner you always choose.
Tell us why, in a world that moves far too fast, you still find your way back here.

We promise to read every letter with care.

After all, the best stories have always lived in libraries.
And some of the most important ones start with you.

  1. I love how helpful the Team in the Library are, Information Services are just the best at helping and I love the banter I get when I ask my many questions….. Thanks Everyone 🙂
