Blind Date with a Book is a fun and engaging way to discover new books. We’ve carefully selected various books, wrapped them in plain paper, and added a few intriguing hints about their contents. The idea is to choose a book based on these hints, without knowing the title or author. It’s a great way to step out of your reading comfort zone and perhaps find a new favourite!
How to Participate
- Visit the Library: come to the library on Friday, 14th February and head to our special display unit on level 2.
- Choose your date: browse the wrapped books and read the hints provided. Pick the one that piques your interest the most.
- Take it home: there’s no need to check out the book, it’s yours to keep, read or pass on to a friend.
- Enjoy the surprise: unwrap your book and enjoy your literary blind date!
Why Participate?
- Discover new genres: this event is a fantastic opportunity to explore genres you might not usually read.
- Add some fun to your reading: the element of surprise adds a fun twist to your reading experience.
- Celebrate Valentine’s Day differently: whether you’re single or in a relationship, Blind Date with a Book is a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
