Getting ready for the new academic year, we are introducing a new and improved way to search the Library.
From the 7th of June ‘LibrarySearch’ will replace our old Library Catalogue giving one-stop searching for books, e-books, dvds/videos, articles, digital media, and more.
LibrarySearch helps you to manage your research. Sign-in (linked to your usual network account – no need for barcode, PIN etc.) and renew books, create favourites, export citations to RefWorks and EndNote Online and view full search results.
You can also quickly navigate to other Library services using the direct links to Databases A-Z, Library Subject Guides, Journals, Document Delivery, Reading Lists etc.
There will a little disruption to current services while we make the change over. From Wednesday 19th May we can’t add ‘new’ books to the existing Library Catalogue and from 4th June all loans of physical books and resources will be via the Library Lending Desk where we will operate a temporary manual borrowing system. You can access ebooks via the existing Library Catalogue as usual.
