The printers are changing – Staff training opportunity

Staff may be aware that there has been a review of all Multi-functional devices (MFD’s) located across the campus.  The review has highlighted that some devices were being under-utilised and therefore, to reduce costs and to maximise the efficiency of each appliance a number of changes will be introduced over the coming weeks.  Following a tender process, a new supplier Ricoh was appointed.

The new fleet of Ricoh MFD’s will be rolled out from 21st of August up until the early part of September.

Staff are invited to attend a 20-minute training session on the new Ricoh printers which have been installed across the University.

The short bookable sessions will cover training on the print, copy and scan functions on the new Ricoh MFDs.

Sessions will also include tips on how to clear typical jams and advice on how to change consumables such as toner and staples.

All of the sessions will take place in room S20, Andrew Miller Building on Wednesday 5 September and Thursday 6 September. Each session will last 20 minutes and will have a maximum of ten attendees in each group.
