Research Post Graduate students are now covered by the university’s subscription to the Microsoft Student Advantage deal. This entitles Research Postgraduate students to a FREE download of Office365 Pro Plus on your own equipment for the duration of your study.
The software requires regular authentication so will stop working when your network account is terminated at the end of your studies.
To download Office365:
- go to the Microsoft portal: http://portal.office.com and enter your university email address* in the top box in the form of username@stir.ac.uk
- you will then be redirected to the Stirling University login screen – enter your normal uni login details (username/password)
- you should then see a screen inviting you to install software (options are given for PC/Mac/phone and tablet). If you don’t see this screen, navigate via the cog in the top toolbar to ‘Office365 Settings’ then select ‘Software’
- follow the on screen instructions to download.
*NOTE: Computing Science RPGs will need to enter their Stirling university email address NOT their computing science email address.
