Google Scholar links to WebBridge not working

There is currently a known problem with the Library links in Google Scholar that go to WebBridge.  Our WebBridge supplier, Innovative, know about this problem and they are investigating.

What this means is that in Google Scholar results you will not currently see the “Univ. of Stirling Links”.  These Links normally open the WebBridge window that allows you to check whether Stirling has access to the full-text of the reference.

Also in the Google Scholar Settings (the little cog icon you see in the top right of the Google Scholar home page), when you try to setup Library links and search for Stirling – no match will be found.

This is a worldwide problem affecting all libraries that use WebBridge.

In the absence of the Library links you can check whether Stirling has access to the full-text manually:

Open a new browser tab

Login to the Portal and select the Library Catalogue link

Search for the Book Title or search for the Journal Title (change the “Entire Collection” drop-down menu to Journals)

The Library Catalogue provides details of what we hold in print and electronically.

I know this is an irritating inconvenience (I love those little Links) and we’re sorry about this problem. I’ll post again when I hear any news about a fix.
