From 27th April until 29th May 2008 the Library will offer extended opening.
The Library will offer 24-hour opening apart from Friday and Saturday nights when it will close at 7pm and re-open at 9am the following morning.
During the additional hours, i.e. from 10pm – 9am Monday – Thursday nights, 4pm – 7pm Saturday and 4pm – 9am Sunday night the building will be staffed by security only, with no Library staff.
Automated services including internet access, self-issue, self-return, printing and photocopying will be available, but with no technical support. The Information Centre will not be open.
Throughout this period which will act as a pilot, use will be monitored and students canvassed for their views on the service. This information will be fed into the new library project.
