The University’s Artificial Intelligence Advisory Group (AIAG) has made some changes to their Assessment and Marking and Academic Integrity policies to clearly explain how artificial intelligence (AI) should be used transparently in learning, teaching and assessment, and research and administrative activities.
These policies apply to both staff and students, so please take the time to read the guidance.
To further support the responsible use of AI, we’ve also launched a dedicated Canvas site. The site includes links to the AI Assessment Scale, a five-point framework for setting clear expectations around AI use in assessment, and guidance for students. Specific guidance for postgraduate research students has also now been developed.
We’ll continue to update the site and we’re keen to hear from staff and students about their experience using it. Watch this space for more information on how to share your feedback.
