Refworks will become EndNote Fusion 6th October 2026
No action is required from users and there is no expected disruption to the service.
What’s changing
- The product name and user interface colours
- RefWorks Citation Manager (RCM) will also be renamed to EndNote Fusion
- The Save to RefWorks bookmarklet will be renamed Save to EndNote Fusion. New installations will no longer be available. There will be a new EndNote Fusion browser extension.

For users and institutions relying solely on versions of EndNote Online, future transitions will be clearly communicated well in advance, with sufficient time and guidance to ensure a smooth experience. These communications will begin later this year.
