Celebrate Stirling Pride 2026 with the University of Stirling Library

Stirling Pride returns on Saturday 29 August 2026, bringing a day of celebration, visibility, community, and support for LGBTQ+ people across Stirling. Following the success of last year’s event, Pride 2026 promises another fantastic programme of activities, performances, and opportunities to come together in solidarity and celebration.

Join the Pride March

The day begins with the Stirling Pride March, gathering at Kings Park from 11am before setting off at 11.30am towards King Street. The march remains at the heart of the event, providing a vibrant and inclusive opportunity for people of all ages, backgrounds, and identities to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.

A Full Day of Pride Activities

After the march, King Street will come alive with music and entertainment on the Main Stage, featuring a packed programme of performances throughout the afternoon. Visitors can also explore the Pride Market at the Albert Halls, showcasing local makers, charities, community organisations, artwork, gifts, and more.

New for 2026 is the Wellbeing Hub at Holy Trinity Church Hall, offering a quiet space alongside information and support from a range of health and wellbeing organisations. The hub reflects Pride’s commitment not only to celebration, but also to inclusion, support, and community care.

Across the city you’ll also find activities at The Smith Art Gallery and Museum, opportunities to get creative, share your experiences, and connect with others as part of the wider Pride programme.

For the full event programme, visit the official Stirling Pride website.

Discover Pride at the Library

To celebrate Stirling Pride 2026, the University of Stirling Library will once again be highlighting LGBTQ+ voices, stories, and experiences with a special book display throughout August and September.

Whether you’re looking for inspiring fiction, powerful memoirs, thought-provoking non-fiction, or simply your next great read, our display will showcase a wide range of titles by LGBTQ+ authors and about LGBTQ+ lives and histories. Last year’s Pride display encouraged readers to discover new perspectives and celebrate the diversity of LGBTQ+ experiences, and we’re delighted to continue that tradition in 2026.

We’ll also be sharing a curated online reading list, making it easy to explore Pride-themed titles from wherever you are.

Get Involved

There are lots of ways to take part:

  • Visit the Library’s Pride book display and discover a new favourite read.
  • Explore our online Pride reading list.
  • Attend Stirling Pride events across the city.
  • Suggest an LGBTQ+ title you’d like to see added to the Library collection via the library’s online suggestion form.
  • Share your Pride experiences and help celebrate the diverse voices that make our community stronger.

Happy Pride!

Stirling Pride is a celebration of community, equality, and belonging. Whether you’re joining the march, visiting one of the many events across the city, or stopping by the Library to explore our Pride collection, we look forward to celebrating with you.

Happy Stirling Pride 2026! 🏳️‍🌈
