Thank you for helping shape our Library Wellbeing Space 💚

Over the past month, many of you stopped by our Library Wellbeing graffiti wall to share your thoughts, ideas, and—occasionally—your sense of humour. We just wanted to say a massive thank you for taking the time to tell us what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d love to see next.

Your feedback helps us understand how the wellbeing space is really being used, and how it feels to rest, or reset there during busy days.

What you told us ❤️

Some of your comments reminded us that the space is already doing something right. One note simply said it was.

Well kept by very thoughtful staff

Which genuinely made our day. ❤️

Others highlighted how important comfort is when you’re trying to unwind or focus. Requests like more cushions, more colouring books and coloured pens, and nap or study pods were suggested, showing how much you value having a calm, cosy place to retreat to. I’m sure the amazing view also helps.

You were also very clear about boundaries. Several comments asked for no eating or smelly food in the wellbeing space, with one student explaining how important that quiet, sensory‑friendly environment is for them. That kind of thoughtful, honest feedback really matters to us.

And yes… we noticed the creative suggestions too 😄

Not all ideas were entirely serious—but they definitely made us smile. From “Make it a Tesco Extra” to “A Dancing pole”, your graffiti wall contributions showed creativity is alive and well in the library. While we can confirm we won’t be turning the wellbeing space into a supermarket (sorry!), we do love how engaged you were with the activity.

What happens next?

All of your comments from the graffiti wall have been carefully reviewed and shared with the teams who help shape library spaces. Not every idea can happen, or happen immediately, but every piece of feedback helps us make more informed, student‑focused decisions.

We can’t say too much just yet… but we can say that one of your more realistic requests might be closer than you think. And no—it’s definitely not the Tesco Extra 😉

Keep talking to us

Thank you again for your honesty, humour, and continued feedback. Whether it’s through graffiti walls, filling in one of our suggestion cards, telling us what you think at one of our pop‑up events, or letting us know in person, we really appreciate you telling us what you need from your library spaces.

Keep an eye out for updates—and please keep sharing your thoughts. You’re helping us build a wellbeing space that genuinely works for you.💚
