The Referencing LibGuide brings together key guidance and resources to help you reference correctly in your work. It points you to trusted tools and explains how Information Services can support you with managing your references, whether you’re just getting started or polishing a final draft.

One of the highlights is Cite Them Right, an online referencing tool that the University subscribes to for students. It covers all the referencing styles used at the University and includes clear examples, an interactive referencing tool, tutorials, videos, and FAQs to help you understand what’s required. It’s designed to guide you through the process and take some of the stress out of getting your references right.

Tools to help you manage your references

If you’re working with lots of sources, reference management software can be a real lifesaver. Information Services provides guidance and support for RefWorks (See this guide), which can help you store references and create bibliographies more efficiently. This tool are especially useful for longer projects like dissertations, where keeping track of sources can quickly become overwhelming.
