Level 2: Loud and Proud or Quiet and Calm?

Recently, we asked students for their thoughts on the atmosphere of Level 2. Should it stay lively and social, or become a quieter space for focused study?

The results are in! While the vote wasn’t huge, it was clear enough to give us insight:

  • 42 votes for “Loud and Proud”
  • 26 votes for “Settle Down”

That means most of you want Level 2 to remain a vibrant, collaborative space.

What You Said

We loved hearing your perspectives! Here are a few highlights from the comments:

  • “If it’s too loud for you, go upstairs.”
  • “Noise in Level 2 quiet study are as high as in a pub. Concentration is impossible—please socialise in the atrium.”
  • “It should stay as it is. That is why we have the other quiet floors. Plus, it gives a chance for conversation in a comfortable space, without having to book a group study room or sit in the even louder atrium.”

Clearly, opinions are mixed—but the majority prefer Level 2 as a social space. However, we would ask that users respect others who may be trying to work/study and to keep unnecessary noise to a minimum.

What’s Next?

Based on your feedback, Level 2 will continue to be a lively, collaborative area. If you’re looking for quiet study, remember that Levels 3 and 4 are designed for that purpose.
