Welcome Hub

Pop by the Welcome Hub we open Thursday, 5th September in Campus Central, level 3, to enjoy a fun introduction to the University of Stirling! You’ll have the opportunity to meet new people and speak to all the fantastic departments in the University who will make up your experience as a student here.

Library and Canvas essentials

Learn all about the library at Stirling including how to install office365 for free, how to access our many resources and how to use our wonderful library. We will also show you how to make your way around Canvas (our virtual learning environment). We will show you how to logon, change the screen layout, set up your notifications, navigate in your module and where to access your reading lists.  We can also signpost you to where to get help when you need it.  These are all core skills for your learning experience.

IT Wizards

Need help getting connected to Wi-Fi? Our IT Wizards will help you get online. You’ll find them, in the Library on level 2 in front of the Information Centre or in the Welcome hub when open. This year our Wizards are also supporting lecturers to get your class up and running in the Learning Spaces – book start of class support here. Our students will pop along to help you get set up for your class on the technology in the room and can also assist you to find the attendance check-in code you need for your class. They will not stay for the duration of the session.
