Introduction to Canvas
Canvas is the University’s main VLE (virtual learning environment). Here we cover what the VLE is used for and some key tips for good Canvas design.
Introduction to Engagement Tools (Poll Everywhere, Padlet and more)
There are a number of ways you can use digital tools to boost engagement with your students in live classes or asynchronously. Here are self-paced materials on Poll Everywhere, Padlet and Canvas quizzes.
Poll Everywhere allows teaching staff to collect a range of answers from learners, sparking discussion, giving feedback and creating interest for the students.
Padlet is an application to create an online bulletin board allowing users to post thoughts and comments on a topic.
Canvas supports online quizzes with multiple question types. These may be used for formative or summative assessment.
Our training programme also includes Microsoft, Cyber Security, and Project Management sessions.
