We love to hear what you think about how we communicate with you and how you can get in touch with us.
We just want to make sure that we are hitting the right note and that we are choosing the best ways to get all our amazing Library and IT news to our staff and students.
We also want to let you know how you can contact us and get help or let us know if there is something that we can change.
We have a number of ways that you can contact us and would like to find out what you find useful, or if you can think of a better way for us to keep you in the loop.
These are the methods we are currently using to communicate with you.
- The IS Blog https://isnews.stir.ac.uk/
- Digital signage on Campus
- Our social media channels (We are on X, Instagram and Facebook – search for isstirling)
- We post news and info in the student bulletin and staff roundup
- We post items in the Announcement, News and Events on the Portal
- We do Canvas announcements
- For very important announcements we send out IT service messages to your student email.
These are the ways you can get in touch with us.
- In person in the library (we always love to see you)
- Email askIT@stir.ac.uk for IT enquiries or Library@stir.ac.uk for library enquiries
- Students can chat with us via LiveChat on the portal
- Unidesk – access via the portal and click Contact us then you can Ask IT or Ask the Library
- Our Suggestion board in the library, take a card and fill it in with your ideas, comments and compliments then post it in the box. We will then post our reply on the board and/or email you if you supply your email address.
- Online Suggestion board where you can post your ideas, comments or compliments.
It’s not you it’s us……
Are we missing something? Are we missing out on the best way to communicate with you and for you to communicate with us? If you want to let us know what you think you or give us feedback about our comms you can use the ways that we mention above. Or you can pop in and fill in a post-it-note on our graffiti wall in the main staircase going up to Level 3.
Free donuts
On Monday 8th April why not pop in to the Library and have a chat with us you can also vote for your favourite comms channels, and make suggestions on how we could improve communications. We will be there with FREE KRISPY KREME DONUTS (While supplies last).
