New exhibition from Innerpeffray Library

Founded in 1680, Innerpeffray Library was Scotland‘s first free public lending library and was used by the local community until 1968. The library is located about 20 miles from the University, and students are welcome to visit, free of charge. Discover the rare books in its diverse collection and trace the families who took the time to cross the fields in pursuit of education. For more information see https://innerpeffraylibrary.co.uk/.

A selection of materials from Innerpeffray are on display in the cases in the stairwell of the University Library. This time, we have a small exhibition on advertising.

Advertising is nothing new. On display are some examples of how books and magazines were used to promote other publications and products. Why not take a look the next time you are in the Library?
