We are finally ready to close down our cloud file storage on box.
A two year project, somewhat extended by a global pandemic, is now coming to a close. Our box subscription will end on 31st July 2021.
After 31st July, you will no longer have access to box. We are now in the final stages of removing our files from box with only a tiny amount still to be migrated. IS staff will be in touch with the few users still with content in box.
Over the course of the project we have migrated c74 TB of research, departmental and team data into a variety of new SharePoint sites and OneDrive. We’d like to thank all of the staff we’ve worked with over this period for making this job a lot easier than it might have been.
We will now be starting to remove links and references to box from our website, UniDesk, the portal. If you need to access box, it will still be available from https://stir.box.com until 31st July.
If you feel like you could do with some training on SharePoint and OneDrive, we have our ‘Microsoft 365 Learning Pathways‘ site that includes training from Microsoft and recordings of our own ‘Mastering Microsoft‘ series of sessions that we ran in May 2021. We will be running a small number of ‘Mastering Microsoft ‘ sessions for staff again in August. Watch this blog for info.
