Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Canvas.
Which browser should I use with Canvas?
We would recommend Chrome for accessing Canvas.
Chrome is available on all student PCs in the computing labs.
Staff can install the latest version of Chrome via Run Advertised Programmes (Control Panel -> Run Advertised Programmes -> Chrome Enterprise). Please ensure that you have the latest version.
Chrome is available to download for free on personal devices.
Canvas also supports the following browsers:
- Edge 44 (Windows only)
- Safari 11 and 12 (Macintosh only)
I really like Internet Explorer. Why can’t I use it with Canvas?
Canvas no longer supports Internet Explorer. You will see a warning notification if you use this unsupported browser.
