Summer news

Over the summer period, there are many exciting changes happening in the Library and the study zone. Our library Maker Space has been so successful in its first year, that it’s growing! The Maker Space will be Moving into the Current Seminar room on level 2 of the library. We’re also creating 12 additional study spaces on level 4. There may be other changes to the building, but we are just waiting to find out when and what will be happening. (we are excited to find out what will happen).

The study zone is currently closed to accommodate graduation and will be used for other events throughout the summer period, including the Special Olympics Anniversary games.

We are delighted to welcome this event to campus, marking the 40th Anniversary of the Special Olympics.  The University will be welcoming c.1,200 athletes, 400 coaches and officials, and 500 volunteers, so the campus will be buzzing.

You can even buy tickets for the opening ceremony being held at Forthbank Stadium. http://www.specialolympicsscotland40.com/

We are loving  the tagline for the games “Be bold, be kind, be awesome!”

We have arranged alternative 24-hour study facilities which will be available throughout the closure period.  Computer Lab Cottrell 2Y5 and Cottrell 3A142 and 3B160 (which have study desks and no PCs).

We’ll keep you updated on any changes to our opening hours on our social media channels.
