Users of RefWorks may have noticed that when they exporting references from a database to their account they are offered a choice to use either “legacy RefWorks” or “new RefWorks”. University of Stirling staff and students should select the “legacy RefWorks” option, with the orange coloured logo.
The new version of RefWorks has not yet been fully evaluated by Library staff. It does not yet contain the Harvard Stirling University referencing style used by many faculties. If you mistakenly export references to the wrong version of RefWorks you will be asked to login and your Stirling username and password will not be recognised by RefWorks. A full evaluation of the new version of RefWorks will be undertaken by Library staff and any move to the new version will be accompanied by publicity via the Portal, email bulletins and this news blog.
