We have extended our collection of online historical newspapers. The third collection of Gale Cengage Learning’s British Newspapers covers 1780 – 1950 and includes many local newspapers, including the Stirling Observer (1839-1867).
You can access this new resource from the A-Z list of Online Resources. British Newspapers Part 3 can be searched together with other historical newspaper resources, such as the Nineteenth Century British Library Newspapers and the Burney Collection (click on British Newspapers 1600-1950 for this). You can also cross search all of our historical newspapers in Newsvault – this search includes the Times and Sunday Times Digital Archives as well.
