SciELO – new resource on A-Z list

Looking for research from Latin America, South Africa or the Caribbean? Why not try SciELO Citation Index, a new resource from Thomson Reuters and newly available to Stirling University staff and students. SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) provides access to open access materials in a wide range of disciplines: applied social science, health, linguistics, letters and arts, earth sciences, maths, physics, human sciences, biology, engineering and agriculture.

 

All materials contained in SciELO come from open access journals, so all the content is freely available. Simply click on the full text link to view your chosen article online. Materials date from 1997 onwards. Some 650 journals are contained in SciELO and it contains several million cited references.

 

SciELO can be searched in English, Spanish or Portguese. The interface will be familiar to users of Web of Science and it has all the functionality of the other Thomson Reuters products including exporting citations to RefWorks, sorting results by most highly cited articles, limiting results by subject category, country / territory etc.
