During the summer, it was necessary to tighten up security on the student email servers. As a result of this, those of you using Internet Explorer may need to make a small change to your Internet Options as follows:
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab, then scroll down the list of settings until you find the ‘Security’ section. Make sure the option ‘Use TLS 1.0’ is checked.
This applies to SquirrelMail the email system used by Undergraduate and Taught Post Graduate students available from https://wwwmail.students.stir.ac.uk
