Getting started with the Library – workshops for new students

Using a University Library for the first time can be a daunting prospect. To help new students find their way around the Stirling Campus Library Information Services is offering a series of workshops at the beginning of the autumn semester. There is no need to book a place, simply turn up and bring your reading list. All workshops take place in the Library Seminar Room which is on the entrance level of the Library.

Each workshop will cover:

  • finding items on your reading list,
  • using an electronic reading list,
  • finding printed and electronic books and
  • using the Short Loan area.

Workshops are aimed at all new undergraduate students and we are offering some sessions specifically for international students whose first language is not English.
