Two new resources, arXiv and OAIster, have recently been added to StirGate. arXiv contains links to the full text of over 600,000 preprints of scientific papers covering disciplines including mathematics, computing science, quantitative biology and statistics. OAIster is a specialist search engine which searches freely available digital resources of interest to the academic community. OAISter includes more the 25 million records from 1100 contributors. Many of the records come from institutional repositories, including Stirling’s repository STORRE.

Both of these resources are automatically included in a StirGate search, if you wish to limit your results to either of these resources run your search in StirGate and then select arXiv or OAIster under the ‘database information’ filter on the left of the results page.
