John Johnson Collection – an archive of printed ephemera

Students and staff can now access the John Johnson Collection – a fascinating online resource for anyone studying or researching British social history from the eighteenth, nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The collection contains over 67,000 digitised documents and is divided into the following categories:

  • the booktrade
  • popular prints
  • crime, murders and executions
  • advertising
