A power outage at 7pm on Tuesday 28th December affected several IT services including WebCT, student email, and some web-based applications. By midday on the 29th the majority of the server
hardware that these services, including WebCT, run on had been brought back into service. However, it became apparent on the evening of the 31st December that the WebCT application was not running normally. This appears to
be due to database corruption caused by the power failure. Information Services are currently working on bringing WebCT back into service and it is hoped that it may be available again by this evening or, in the worst case, tomorrow morning.
