Did you know that as a member of the University (staff or students), you can get Microsoft 365 suite of software completely free of charge?
That means Word, Excel, PowerPoint (and more) on your own device, ready to help you study, teach, research, or work wherever you are.
What’s included?
While you’re studying or working at the University, you’re covered by the University’s Microsoft licence. This allows you to download and use the Microsoft 365 apps for free for the duration of your time here.
Perfect for:
- Writing essays or reports in Word
- Crunching numbers in Excel
- Creating presentations in PowerPoint
- And all the everyday uni/work tasks in between
How to download Microsoft 365
Getting started is quick and easy:
- Go to https://office.com
- Sign in using your University email address and password
- Select Apps
- Click Install apps (top right)
- Choose Microsoft 365 Apps and follow the instructions
That’s it! Once installed, you’re good to go.
A quick but important note ⚠️
The software needs to regularly check in with your University account to confirm you’re still associated with the University. As long as you’re studying or working here, everything will continue to work as normal.
Once you leave the University, access to Microsoft 365 will end, so make sure you save any important files elsewhere before then.
