Due to important data migration work by our Library systems supplier (Ex Libris), many services will experience downtime over 12th – 13th July. See details below on what to expect.
Planned Downtime
The migration process will take place over the weekend of 12–13 July 2025 with up to 24 hours of downtime expected between 6am Saturday 12th July to 6am Sunday 13th July.
Systems and Services Affected
The following systems will be impacted:
- Library gates
- LapSafe
- LibrarySearch
- Find@Stir
- Reading Lists
- Clio ArticleRequest and Document Delivery
What This Means for You
- Library gates will remain open for the weekend.
- LibrarySearch and Reading Lists will be unavailable or partially functional.
- LapSafe – there will be laptop loans available from the lending desk
- Find@Stir will be unavailable of partially functional
- Loan due dates will be adjusted to avoid falling during the downtime.
- Borrowing – If you want to borrow an item, please go to the lending desk to have it issued.
- No processing of Clio requests will occur over the weekend.
Please note: You may still be able to access ebooks if you note the URL, download or access via the platform. During the downtime you won’t be able to access from the LibrarySearch catalogue
