Are you staying in University accommodation or studying in University buildings? #DidYouKnow that the W-Fi network that you should be connecting to is eduroam and not UoS Guest Wi-fi.
eduroam is a free Wi-Fi service provided to you by the University. The benefits of using eduroam are;
- Free Wi-fi connection on the go (you can use it in your residence and other University buildings – also at other institutions who use eduroam)
- More secure than the open Guest Wi-Fi – uses the most secure encryption and authentication standards available
- Faster than Guest Wi-Fi which is designed for visitors to campus
- Requires minimum setup to access.
If you need instructions on how to connect your device to eduroam please see our main UniDesk Self-service article
