Microsoft Excel Data Analysis with Tables and PivotTables

In this Microsoft Excel Data Analysis with Tables and PivotTables half-day session, attendees will learn how to best model data lists and how to create the extremely powerful Excel Table. You will learn how to apply basic sort orders and complex sort orders and how to filter a Data Table in Excel using various criteria. In order to summarise large data sets, attendees will learn how to use a PivotTable, one of the most powerful analysis tools available in Excel.

Microsoft Power BI Desktop Essentials

Power BI is part of the suite of tools from Microsoft which enable data to be analysed and visualised from a variety of sources.

With Power BI Desktop, you get a report authoring tool that enables you to connect to and query data from different sources using the Query Editor. From the datasets you can add visuals and create interactive reports.

In this half-day taster session, attendees will learn how to connect Excel workbooks to Microsoft Power BI Desktop. You will carry out basic data modelling in the data using the Query Editor and then add visuals to a report.

Please note that this course is not suitable for new Excel users.

Microsoft Power BI Reports and Dashboards for Business Users

Power BI provides a variety of methods for using reports and dashboards within which data can be viewed and analysed visually.

This course covers the use of existing Power BI Desktop or Power BI reports and dashboards. It will identify core features, terminology and processes applicable when using reports or dashboards. Its principal aim is to provide the skills to enable a delegate to work with the reports and dashboards effectively.

Please note – this course does not cover creating reports or dashboards.
