Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum
This relaxed community event is an inclusive and accessible opportunity for Stirling residents to participate in and be a part of the Stirling 900 year launch at the Stirling Smith Museum. An informal event with the opportunity to visit the Collection, chat to the Provost, take part in drop in creative and heritage activities, have refreshments and find out more about Stirling’s 900th Anniversary.
A Timeline for Stirling’s 900th Anniversary
Talented local artist, illustrator and graphic designer David Galletly is leading the charge to create a captivating and expansive public hoarding timeline that reflects Stirling’s stories through past and recent times and celebrates all that makes the area of Stirling distinctive.
Book Display in the Library
Step into the rich tapestry of Stirling’s history and culture with our curated book display and reading list in honour of Local and Community History Month in May and Stirling 900, a jubilant celebration marking nine centuries of this remarkable city’s existence. Immerse yourself in the essence of this historic Scottish gem through the pages of these captivating works.
The books will be displayed in the library during May and early June.
