As lectures, seminars and tutorials move online in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Information Services (IS) have put together some resources to help staff to teach and support students from a distance. These are linked to from the University’s COVID19 Q&A web page, but the direct links are:

Staff Webinars
We are running a number of webinars, for staff, in using online tools for learning and teaching – you can sign up for these via the Canvas module above.
Webinar dates/times:
Date | Time |
Monday 23rd March | 10-11am |
Monday 23rd March | 2-3pm |
Tuesday 24 March | 10-11am |
Tuesday 24 March | 2-3pm |
Wednesday 25 March | 10-11am |
Just to note when considering options, for teaching through live online events the capacity for simultaneous users in Listen Again (Panopto) could accommodate our largest classes (it can support several thousand) and the recommended limit in Canvas Conferences (Big Blue Button) is 100.
