Access my email after I graduate.
We now offer all students access to their University of Stirling email account for two years after graduation.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught Students
If you would like to continue to access your University email account after graduation, just let us know. Approximately two months before your graduation you will see a banner on your portal inviting you to opt-in for continued email access. Follow the on screen instructions to opt-in.
If you forget to opt-in before graduation, you will have a window of 30 days after your graduation date, to logon to the portal and opt-in for email. If you do not opt-in by the end of the 30 day period, your email account will be deleted and not recoverable.
90 days after your graduation date, your portal access will cease but you will be able to access your email directly via http://office365.stir.ac.uk.
Postgraduate Research Students
A banner will appear on your portal at least a month before you finish, inviting you to opt-in. There is also a link on your portal home page in the ‘I want to’ section called ‘Access my email after I graduate’. Ninety days after graduation, you will no longer have portal access so email can be accessed via https://mail.stir.ac.uk.
Please note we also increased the size of our staff and Postgraduate mailbox from 2GB to 5GB.
