The Library has upgraded the Historical Abstracts database to include full text links to journal articles. In case you are not aware, Historical Abstracts is an index to research on world history (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 onwards. It also includes other subject areas presented from a historical perspective.
This upgrade means that most journal articles in your search results list can now be accessed directly by clicking on the Access now (PDF) button. Other sources, such as books and book articles, can still be accessed via the Find@Stir button (you can request sources we don’t have using the Document Delivery Service).
Historical Abstracts is one of Ebsco’s suite of databases. It is available in a new search interface, which will be coming to other Ebsco databases soon. Access Historical Abstracts with Full Text from the A-Z list of Online Resources. The old link to Historical Abstracts (no full text and old interface) is still available for the time being but will be removed in due course.
If you have any questions about the new Historical Abstracts database, please email libinfo@stir.ac.uk.
