Love Libraries: Join your local library today!

The National Library of Scotland has launched the Love Libraries campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at encouraging more people to join libraries and make use of all they have to offer. This campaign, which runs until October 2025, focuses on the impact and value of libraries everywhere. It is organised in collaboration with the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC), the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals Scotland (CILIPS), the Association of Public Libraries Scotland (APLS), the Scottish Confederation of University and Research Libraries (SCURL), Young Scot and the Scottish Book Trust.

As part of this campaign, we encourage all staff and students to join their local library and take advantage of the numerous resources and facilities available. Libraries are not just about books; they are community hubs that offer a wide range of services to support your academic and personal growth.

BorrowBox, Libby and PressReader

Stirling Libraries offer a wealth of resources and facilities to support your studies and personal interests, including access to a vast collection of books, ebooks, and audiobooks. Whether you’re looking for academic texts or leisure reading, Stirling Libraries have something for everyone. With your Stirling Libraries library card, you can access online resources such as Borrowbox, Libby, and PressReader, which provide a wide range of digital content.

By joining Stirling Libraries, you gain access to a broader range of materials and services tailored to the needs of the local community. This is distinct from the academic resources available at the University of Stirling library, providing a complementary set of resources to enhance your overall library experience.

We hope you take advantage of these resources and activities. Happy reading, and here’s to a journey filled with knowledge, inspiration, and community!
